PlayTheatre (age 3 years old - 6th grade)

These sessions are designed for children and youth to learn and practice the skills of drama through games, activities, acting exercises and script readings. Participants end the session with a performance.

Youth Dance (ages 2 - 12, runs monthly)

Aerobics Room, Downtown Y (ages 2-4)  

Aerobics Room, South Y (ages 5-12)

Children learn several forms of dance as well as rhythm, beats, how to count music, stretching techniques and muscle names, strengthening exercises, high kicks, turns, jumps, improvisation, choreography and more.

Ballroom Dancing (adult only, runs monthly)

Gym, Downtown Y

Participants enjoy the fun and excitement of learning various ballroomsteps, including the fox trot, tango, mambo/salsa, swing and waltz. Participation as couples is encouraged but not mandatory.

Modeling (age 5 - adult)

Conference Room, Downtown Y

Here’s a great opportunity to learn the glamorous art of fashion modeling! All students learn ramp and tearoom modeling, photo posing, pageantry techniques, makeup and fashion designs, plus much more. This class is offered twice a year (spring and fall sessions).

Music Class (age 3 years old - 6th grade)

Conference Room, Downtown Y

This class introduces students to the basics of music and instruments. They work on singing, learning to read music, basics of playing an instrument and, for more advanced classes, basic music composition.

American Tae-Kwon-Do (age 3 - adult, runs monthly)

Conference Room, Downtown Y

This Korean style of karate is open to students age 3 and older. Classes take place in the first-floor conference room at the downtown Y facility.
