Strong Y, Strong Community Campaign

The Joplin Family YMCA maintains the policy that no person is turned away because of the inability to pay membership and/or program fees.  In 2011, with the help of more than 500 volunteers, the Joplin Family YMCA offered more than $335,000 in financial assistance to families, seniors, youth and those in our community who otherwise would not be able to participate in the Y's activities and programs.

Disaster Relief Childcare

This fund will be used to take care of the youngest people in our community in order to provide the best childcare possible in this season of struggle.  This is currently being offered through financial assistance to tornado survivors, enabling children 5 to 14 years old to attend Summer Adventure Day Camp and younger children to attend day care at a partnering facility.  This program will be extended as long as funds allow.

Contributions to the Community fund will be used to support our beloved Joplin in whatever legitimate need presents itself in our healing process.
