Once you become a Joplin Family YMCA member, you're setting yourself on a lifelong journey of healthy spirit, mind and body. You're becoming part of an organization that provides everything from child care to health and fitness to youth development to the arts and humanities, and much, much, more! As a Joplin Family Y member, you have many benefits, but you have some responsibilities, too. You will be asked to get involved and be a champion of the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. You may be asked to volunteer or contribute to the Y's annual support campaign that underwrites membership and program assistance for those who cannot afford the full fees. The Joplin Family Y involves members in offering their time, talent and treasure, for the greater good.
The Joplin Family YMCA maintains the policy that no person is turned away because of the inability to pay membership and/or program fees.
In 2010, with the help of more than 200 volunteers, the Joplin Family YMCA issued more than $250,000 in financial assistance to families, seniors, youth and those who otherwise would not be able to participate in the Y's activities and programs.
If you are in need of financial aid for membership or programs, please contact either Y facility.
All members have an application fee of $25 upon joining.
If you choose to pay in full for 1 year, you receive the 13th month free!
Fees and dues are subject to change. Application fees are transferable to most YMCAs. All fees are non-refundable.
Many companies subsidize a percentage of YMCA membership dues for their employees. Contact your Human Resources Department or call the Y to find out if your company participates!
